Absaroka Mountain Lodge, horseback riding
is our main activity!
The trails on the Northfork of the Shoshone
National Forest offer a variety of beautiful
terrain. Sparkling river crossings, towering
pines and breathtaking high mountain views
all await your arrival. Choose a leisurely
two-hour ride, or join us for an experience
that will be a feast for your eyes as well
as your stomach.
Our
morning breakfast ride up gorgeous Gunbarrel
Creek has been a real favorite of
our guests. This ride has the perfect mix
of scenery, a hearty campfire breakfast, and
the camaraderie of new found friends. What
could be a better way to start your day?
If a more
adventurous back country ride is what you're
looking for, we also offer four hour lunch
cookout and steak dinner rides on many different
trails through out the National Forest.
No
previous riding experience is necessary. Our
group sizes are small, our horses are gentle,
and our experienced wranglers are always there
to give you a helping hand. (P.S. They're
pretty good cooks, too!)
